Getting the care you deserve at your fingertips.
About Me
I have been an advocate for mental health and access to quality care for over 15 years. I graduated from The University of Texas at Brownsville in 2012 with a Master’s Degree in Education with a focus on counseling and guidance. I am currently licensed in Texas as both a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor. I am also credentialed as a Nationally Certified Counselor.
I am passionate about music, any and all animals, humor and creativity. I often find ways to incorporate these things into sessions, if applicable. Also, I may have a pet or two that will join our sessions but not to worry, they are also bound by the strictest rules of confidentiality!
What To Expect
I will send you invitations to portals to collect all initial practice forms, consents and billing/insurance information, prior to scheduling your first session. During the initial session, all paperwork will be reviewed and initial introductions and history will be collected. This is the time for each of us to feel the other out and ask questions to determine appropriate fit. I will always encourage you to take a night at least to think about and feel whether our therapeutic relationship felt conducive toward your journey, prior to scheduling a follow-up. This also goes for future sessions. If ever you feel like I am not an appropriate fit, I will work to get you alternate resources. I want you to get the support you need and deserve, regardless of if that is with me or someone else.
Our sessions are interactive and I will incorporate honest feedback into them, tailoring each session to your unique needs. If you are seeking out a therapist who will simply nod and agree, we will probably not be a good fit. In creating my practice, I wanted to utilize both the positive and well, not so positive experiences that I have had in my work with others. That means showing up for you, authentically, quirks and all.
